Essex County prosecutors say 18-year-old Almuqqadin Means of East Orange was caught around noon Monday in Newark and was arrested without incident.

He was being held on $750,000 bail, and his first court appearance had not been scheduled as of late Monday afternoon.

A warrant for Means' arrest had been issued Thursday, one day after 17-year-old Aquilla Flood's body was found in her East Orange home. Means also faces weapons charges stemming from the slaying.

Prosecutors allege Means somehow sneaked into the home and shot Flood in the head early Wednesday. She was found dead by her mother hours later.
