Energetic NJ senior helps others showcase their talents
As part of our "Salute to Seniors" feature, we at NJ 101.5 along with our sponsorship partner, American Senior Magazine, ask our listeners to nominate a very special senior each week.
Debbie Levenberg wrote to tell us about her amazing mom, Sandy Siegel. She’s this week’s super senior.
Sandy spent most of her adult life singing and acting in community theater throughout New Jersey. This November was her 10th production of a cabaret-style musical show at her adult community in Somerset. Sandy conceived and developed this very special production, which grows and plays to standing ovations every year. Attendance is free and the audience is always full.
This show has become a very special event for the entire community and one that brings joy and laughter to all of its members. Thanks to Sandy, along with her husband, the members are busy, active and get to show off their various talents.
Other members routinely voice their appreciation to Sandy Siegel and remark that her hard work and commitment to the community is amazing.
It is obvious why her daughter is so proud and felt the need to share her story. How many of us (at much younger ages) wish we had the energy to do what Sandy does?
Hats off to you Sandy Siegel, and thanks for all you do! you are an inspiration to us all and Along with senior living magazine, we here at New Jersey 101.5 are happy to nominate you as super senior this week!
Tell us about your senior below. Submissions will be accepted through Nov. 21. Individual seniors will be selected by our staff and featured on-air and online once a week.
If your senior is chosen, he or she will be invited to New Jersey 101.5 for an upcoming commercial and invited to a luncheon at the the station.
