The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office says 18-year-old Stephanie Morgan was ejected from the front seat of a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder Wednesday night after the driver lost control of the SUV, causing it to go off the roadway and flip several times. The Emerson High School senior was pronounced dead hours later.

Morgan was not driving.

Two other students sustained injuries that were not life threatening.

Counselors have been on hand to talk to students and teachers at the school.

The accident remains under investigation.
