ELIZABETH — A city man was found shot to death in his own driveway early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Police have not released the name of the man, but the Union County Prosecutor's Office said Elizabeth Police Department patrol units responded to a report of shots being fired in the area of 5th and Niles streets at approximately 2:50 a.m. Once there, they found a 33-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound in the driveway, the prosecutor's office said.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact Homicide Task Force Sgt. Michael Manochio at 908-966-2287.

The Union County Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
