The JCP&L line crew worker who was electrocuted yesterday morning in Manalapan has been identified as 21-year-old Rich Grande of Forked River.

First Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Richard Incremona tells the Asbury Park Press that the man died Friday morning while doing work on Daum Road in Manalapan.

Grande was given CPR but died at CentraState Medical Center's trauma center.  Two others suffered injuries when they tried to help him.

Sources told Townsquare Media NJ the young apprentice in his twenties was working with others in a swampy area  when he came in contact with a downed line. Two other workers attempted to help him and sustained minor injuries.
