The Election Law Enforcement Commission disclosed the reprimand and a $1,600 fine of Barbara Buono in a document Wednesday.

The commission said in an earlier complaint she used her senatorial account to pay for polling that questioned prospective voters about the governor's race before she established the gubernatorial account.

The commission also said Buono filed a form for her gubernatorial candidacy 312 days late.

A message with Buono's attorney has not been returned.

Republican Gov. Chris Christie defeated Buono in 2013.
