Union County prosecutors announced the charge against Julia Morris on Tuesday, one day after the body of her husband, George, was found in their Union Township home.

Police found the body after they were called to the residence late Monday afternoon. But prosecutors have not disclosed a possible motive or released further details about the slaying.

Prosecutors said Julia Morris was taken to a hospital under police guard, and she was being treated for undisclosed injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Her bail was set at $300,000 and it wasn't known Tuesday if she has retained an attorney.
