Egg Harbor Twp. Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Girl

An Egg Harbor Township man has been arraigned for assaulting a female victim under the age of 13.

Steven Chalakee, 25 of Egg Harbor Township was arraigned this week and charged with second degree sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with an investigation conducted by Egg Harbor Township detectives Patricia DiMarco and Mark Wagner.

Chalakee is accused of assaulting the female victim, who is under the age of 13 on various dates over a period of time.Chalakee is currently being held at the Southern State Correctional Facility on unrelated charges. Bail is set at $150,000.
