As customs officers at Newark Liberty Airport get ready to start screening passengers arriving from West African countries for Ebola tomorrow, Jersey hospitals are participating in Ebola readiness drills where fake patients show up in the emergency room to see if they're treated appropriately. Meanwhile, President Obama says the world, as a whole, needs to step up. Obama also says that a number of countries that could be helping aren't.

A nurses organization is leveling scathing charges at the Dallas hospital that treated the first Ebola patient in the U.S. and is now caring for a nurse who was infected.  Nurses united says Thomas Eric Duncan was left in an open area of an emergency room for hours and nurses provided care without proper protective gear a hospital spokesman says the allegations will be reviewed and that there will be a response.

The head of the centers for disease control says the agency will be sending response teams to address any diagnosed cases of Ebola.  Dr. Tom Frieden concedes that the government wasn't aggressive enough in managing the case and containing the virus as it spread from an infected patient to a nurse at a Dallas hospital.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, are donating $25 million to the CDC foundation to help address the Ebola epidemic. The money will be used by the U.S. centers for disease control and prevention's Ebola response effort in guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone and elsewhere in the world where Ebola is a threat, the foundation said Tuesday.

NBC news medical correspondent Nancy Snyderman has admitted that some members of her crew violated a voluntary quarantine to protect against Ebola, a misstep that caused New Jersey health officials to make that quarantine mandatory.

A day after Governor Christie saw his favorability drop among New Jersey voters, another new poll out this week previews a possible uphill climb if he does indeed run for president. Republicans in Iowa, which holds the first presidential caucus, rank Christie behind 7 other possible 2016 GOP candidates. Just 6 percent have Christie as their first choice. He also received the highest unfavorable rating among the contenders at 45 percent but a new report from Pew research says Christie is tops among the hopefuls in national media coverage. Union County should be prepared for some traffic delays today. President Obama is set to arrive in the Garden State to raise money for the Democratic senatorial campaign. Police are warning motorists of major delays in union township between 3 and 630 pm.

The latest on the Sayreville hazing scandal some of the seven football players accused of sexual abusing younger teammates made initial court appearances on Tuesday. The Middlesex county prosecutor has not said how many were in the court room though.

As the investigation continues into the Sayreville football sexual assault case, the Middlesex county prosecutors office has less than a month to decide whether to seek a waiver to try the defendants as adults which could mean significant time behind bars.

The city's police unions will appear before a panel of federal judges in new york today to argue against a judge's ruling that the NYPD's stop and frisk policy violated civil rights. A federal judge ruled earlier that the unions did not signal soon enough to be included in the lawsuit. The policy was ruled to be discriminatory and sweeping changes were ordered.

They're still at odds over Ukraine but the United States and Russia are vowing to cooperate more closely on other matters, including the fight against Islamic extremists in the Middle East. After meeting with his Russian counterpart in Paris on Tuesday, Secretary of State John Kerry said Russia has agreed to begin intelligence-sharing with the U.S. on the Islamic state group.
