When economists are asked who gets the best marks among Republican presidential candidates, the answer is most often Mitt Romney.

The Associated Press surveyed 36 economists -- and two-thirds said Romney would do the best job managing the economy.

As for President Barack Obama, half of the economists rated his economic policies as "fair," while 13 called them "poor." None rated him as `excellent."
