A Manhattan doctor remains under quarantine this morning, the first confirmed case of Ebola In New York City. Officials are telling people not to be alarmed despite reports the doctor rode the subway, took a cab, and went bowling since returning from West Africa.

The government's new federal Ebola response squads are getting their first test, dispatched to New York to help care for the city's first case, a doctor who had treated a patient with the disease in west Africa. Meanwhile, the government has formed a second set of teams to prepare hospitals in cities deemed most likely to see a new Ebola case, should one turn up. Three of those teams have already been sent out.

A senior member of the Sayreville High School football team says he's never seen any of the sexual hazing of underclassmen being widely described in media reports. In an interview with SNY, tight end Sean McIntosh says he just doesn't believe it. McIntosh described the team as a family and says if any of the underclassmen were abused it's the first he's hearing of it.

Another high school football team's season has been cancelled amid hazing allegations. Just accross the river in Pennsylvania, at Central Bucks High School West players allegedly had a ritual that involved grabbing the genitals of other players. The school has cancelled the last two games and suspended all the coaches while police investigate.

A controversial proposal is approved by the Highlands Borough Council. It requires that whenever a borough employee or official posts on a Highlands social media page, that post must be accompanied by a disclaimer, stating it's their own opinion and not that of the borough.The Asbury Park Press is reporting that at least two volunteer members of borough committees have resigned over this issue.

Governor Christie is defending his comments on minimum wage. He told a group in Washington that he was tired of hearing about the issue but at Matsoris Diner in Bordentown on Thursday, Christie repeated his argument that most parents don’t sit around the table talking about it and criticized president obama for not expanding job opportunities for everyone.

As Christie prepares for what many believe will be a presidential run in 2016, his poll numbers here at home continue to drop. In fact, more New Jerseyans now disapprove of the jobs he's doing than approve but in the strange world of politics, that's not necessarily a bad thing…
