VINELAND — Police have caught the two men they say carjacked a man in South Jersey, stabbing him in the back of the head.

On Thursday afternoon, at about 1 p.m, the Delaware River Port Authority Police stopped the stolen vehicle as it was traveling South on Route 295 toward Delaware, Vineland police said.

Inside, officers found Mark S. Magee, 24 of Vineland and Joshua M. Wolfe, 23, of Bridgeton, police said.

According to police, Vineland officers went to the area of Main Road and Cedarwood Drive Wednesday night and met 67-year-old Jayfair Langford.

Langford had driven to the area in his black 2005 Infinity I35, but was stabbed in the back of the head as two men carjacked him, police said. He was eventually airlifted to Atlantic City Medical Center where he was listed in serious but stable condition.

Both occupants of the car were charged with carjacking, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. Police didn't say in an announcement of their arrests which is believed to have stabbed Langford.

Magee and Wolfe were both detained in Delaware in lieu of $200,000 and $150,000 full-cash bails, respectively.
