Drug charges filed against 2 Monmouth public works employees
FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) — Two Monmouth County employees are facing drug charges.
Prosecutors say the arrests of 49-year-old Scott Keimig, of Freehold, and 21-year-old Christopher Terraghi, of Manalapan, culminate a two-month probe into illegal drug activity at the public works complex in Freehold.
Keimig was arrested Friday at the complex. Authorities searched his home and car and allegedly found nearly a pound of marijuana.
Keimig faces 16 counts of possessing and distributing Oxycodone and one count of possessing more than 50 grams of marijuana. A heavy equipment operator in the county's highway division, he's worked in the county for 12 years.
Terraghi was arrested Jan. 16 and charged with possession of Oxycodone. He's a laborer in the highway division who has been employed by the county for more than a year.
