Secaucus police tell The Jersey Journal that 58-year-old Angel Rivera, of Brooklyn, was struck around 3:30 a.m. Saturday on County Road, shortly after he had completed his work day at a nearby parcel delivery firm.

The driver of the car, 20-year-old Bryant Almanzar, of Secaucus, was charged with drunken driving. Authorities say he could face more serious charges once the ongoing investigation is completed.

No other injuries were reported in the accident.
