Downed traffic light closes Route 1 in West Windsor
WEST WINDSOR — An overnight crash has closed a key section of Route 1 to start the Thursday morning commute.

West Windsor Police said an overnight crash, which took down a traffic signal on the southbound side, closed the road between Harrison and Washington streets. Both sides of the road were closed to make repairs for several hours.
The right lanes were reopened just before 7 a.m. in each direction but long delays remained approaching the area.
Traffic is being detoured at Harrison Street on the southbound side onto Faculty Road and bakc to Washington Street to continue the trip on Route 1.
Police would not disclose details about the crash.
