Two bodies were found inside a Long Branch home Monday afternoon.

Acting county Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni tells the Asbury Park Press that 35-year-old Maria Yolanda Cotejo-Muñoz and 33-year-old Feredis Venturo, 33, were found in his apartment on Sairs Avenue, not far from Long Branch's high school and middle school.

The two were romantically involved but Gramiccioni could not release the cause of death.  Monmouth County spokesman Charles Webster told the Star-Ledger that Cotejo-Muñoz  was reported missing on Sunday and the incident is being investigated as a double homicide.

Friends tell the Asbury Park Press that Cotejo-Muñoz had emigrated from Chile about 10 years ago. She was the mother of a 12-year-old girl who lives in Chile and a 4-year-old boy who lived with her in Long Branch. Neighbors tell the Asbury Park Press she was a housekeeper who came to the  United States to find a better life.
