Metal music is not only alive and well in New Jersey, but it's also funny! Emmy Award winning comedian Don Jamieson, former co-host of VH1's "That Metal Show," joined me in studio to talk metal, as well as his new book "You Might Be A Metalhead."

Does he worry about hearing from Jeff Foxworthy who rose to stardom with "You Might Be a Redneck?" "One can only hope," says Jamieson, "if that happens my sales will skyrocket." Right now it's in the top ten and climbing.

As for Metal in New Jersey, Don says it's doing very well.  Don hosts shows all over the state. He has a strong passion for comedy and music which he brought on air as he talked Metal with callers, some of whom sang in bands of their own.

So what happened to "That Metal Show" which was dubbed by Rolling Stone magazine as "one of the 50 best reasons to watch TV?" Not only was the VH1 Classic show cancelled but the whole channel is going off the air to be replaced by MTV live.
