D’Oh! Homer and Marge Simpson will separate

Of all the television marriages we’ve seen break up, this may be the toughest.

After 27 years of wedded bliss Homer and Marge Simpson will legally separate in September.

It seems Homer has narcolepsy and it’s putting an incredible strain on the marriage. It also gives a fresh storyline to a long running series that surprisingly has never suffered a letdown.

We don’t know how long the separation will last but Homer does fall in love with his Pharmicist voiced by Lena Dunham.  The Simpsons scheduled return to Fox is Sept 27.
