There’s a new survey out that claims more Americans are foregoing a landline telephone in favor of going totally wireless; what’s kind of interesting is the demographic picture it paints. As reported in the LA Times, the study was done by the CDC and found that landline-free households were more likely to be smokers and drinkers; moreover wireless only people were more likely to have consumed more than five alcoholic drinks in a single day than landline people.

It also found that the wireless only set were less likely to have health insurance. Wow. I am wireless only and I don’t smoke or drink and I have health insurance for my whole family. By the way, for all American households, 41.7% are wireless only.
