In the latest entrant in the ordinary-things-can-kill-you parade, the American Medical Association has recommended that people who sit at work are more prone to health problems. Actually, the AMA released that info over the summer, but it didn't get much attention because it was at the same time that classified obesity as a disease.

They also recommended that employers come up with ways to allow their employees to get up off the chair while working. For a lot of people, that's just not practical; anyone who drives for a living, for example, can just stand up and do their jobs. Even for many office workers, standing while working is little more than a pipe dream; their offices aren't set up for standing and making the stand-friendly would be cost prohibitive. What about you; do you stand or sit at work?
