SOMERDALE — Police in this Camden County town are hoping the public can help identify a man they say went through the town's municipal parking lot and slashed the tires of not only patrol cars, but the personal vehicles of officers as well.

According to the department, the slashings happened early Sunday morning with the man puncturing all four tires on nine patrol cars, three personal vehicles, and one marked fire vehicle.

The man in question was caught on surveillance video and was described by police as being either black or Hispanic with a tall, thin build, and wearing red sneakers at the time. According to police the initial incident happened around 1:30 in the morning, and that the man was later seen on video returning to the area around 4:30.

Somerdale police said the man can be seen the second time "hiding between cars in the house across the street from police headquarters."

The police department is asking anyone with information about the incident to call 856-428-6324 ext. 2600 or 856-783-4900.
