Dinner for breakfast: Get Jill Myra’s meatloaf recipe
#DinnerForBreakfast is a real thing when it comes to the morning show. Since all of us get up so early, by the time the show is half over, we're ready for lunch!
This morning, over Traffic South reporter Jill Myra made the most amazing meatloaf for us. We were talking about it on the air for a while, so much so, that we received calls about how other listeners make their meatloaf.
If you want to give it a try for yourself, here is Jill Myra's official meatloaf recipe. Enjoy!
Meatloaf Italian Style
ground beef meatball mix (80/20 ground beef)
Stewed tomatoes
grated cheese
chopped onions heated then cooled
eggs
bread crumbs
pepper
plastic gloves or plastic bags
Add ingredients to a large bowl. Cover hands with gloves or plastic. Mix together well making sure to squish the stewed tomatoes in order to allow the juices to mix into the meat. Form into a nice loaf with a deep rectangular pan that leaves room for the peas. The juice from the meat will flavor the peas. 💕
When making the meatloaf with the peas they will be flavored well enough. This is also one of my favorites
Cicilian Peas
Frozen Peas
Fennel
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper
Heat up fennel and oil in the pan making sure not to burn the fennel. Stir in peas, cook covered at a low heat and then uncover
