Bill brought up a challenge on Wednesday's show. To see if enough people knew of any nickname for their town to fill an hour. Because I couldn't think of a single nickname of any of the 7 Jersey towns I've lived in, I bet him $5 that not many would. Turns out we could have filled 2 hours with the response. Now not everyone knew where the nickname came from, but there were certainly a lot of them.

Some were more official, like the kind of thing you might actually see on a sign welcoming you into a particular town. Others were more unofficial, and not very flattering. Certain towns even had several nicknames.

This was the rundown:

Paterson - Silk City
Brick - Bricktucky
Keansburg - The Burg
Somerville - The 'Ville, and also Scummerville
Barnegat - Barneghetto
Jersey City - Chilltown, Wall Street West, and also J Dot
