Did you know that powdered alcohol is on the way?

There’s a product coming called Palcohol that is powdered alcohol; the company that makes it is planning on bringing it to market in Spring of 2015. I had never heard of it before, but it is exactly what it sounds like, a powdered version of alcohol that you mix with either water or your favorite mixer to make a drink.

The website says that it has multiple applications, from campers to resorts to airplanes where the weight of the pouches is significantly less than the weight of bottles of liquor. They also say it’s not practical to snort and that it takes about a minute to stir it in, making unsuitable for spiking the drinks of the unknowing. Some states are already moving to ban it under the guise of the usual tripe of safeguarding children, but the website says it will only be sold where normal alcohol is sold and with the same age restrictions.
