Deptford parents face child abuse charges

DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP (AP) — Bail is set at $100,000 each for a Deptford Township couple accused of abusing their 11-week-old son.

Gloucester County prosecutors say 36-year-pold Preston English and 25-year-old Sara-Lena Lannon took the child to a hospital earlier this month. But police were called because the child had fractures to his ribs and a leg.

Authorities have charged English and Lannon with aggravated assault and child endangerment.

It's not known if they have retained lawyers.
