Dense Fog Starts Friday Morning
The Jersey Shore starts Friday morning enveloped in fog.
Monmouth, Ocean, southern Burlington, Atlantic and Cape May counties are under a Dense Fog Advisory until 10 a.m., which will reduce visibilities to less than a quarter mile.
New Jersey Fast Traffic's Bob Williams suggests reducing your speed on foggy roads, keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you and driving with the low beams on. High beams will reflect off the fog and create a wall of white in front of you and further reduce your visibility.
Fog could form in some inland areas especially on bridges over bodies of water.
Meteorologist Alan Kasper expects the fog to lift by late morning making way for a cloudy day with showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures in the 70s.
Saturday will be similar, but Sunday is expected to be sunny for Mother's Day with temperatures near 80.
