Dennis: Why early Autumn is the best time to visit the Jersey Shore

These next few weeks are my favorite time at the shore.  The weather is spectacular and the crowds are sparse, but there is plenty to do.

I made it to a benefit 5K in South Seaside Park on Sunday for the Hugh Claus Memorial Run.  There were people swimming (at their own risk) at the beach, a block party next to Bum Rogers Restaurant, and even a collection of American Flags where the bomb went off last weekend at D Street and Ocean.  And what trip home from the shore is complete without hitting one of my favorite New Jersey farm stands?!

Hope you got to enjoy one of the many beach towns in NJ this past weekend.  If not, there are about 4 or 5 weeks left in what I think is the best time to "go down the shore!"
