Dennis sides with the ACLU: ‘Leave those hookers alone!’

The ACLU of New Jersey is blasting the Newark police department for rounding up 13 hookers over the weekend, saying it's a waste of the departments' dwindling resources. They're right.

Consenting adults should be allowed to do what they've been doing for thousands of years without threat of incarceration. Just like the prohibition of drugs, it makes the practice more dangerous for everyone involved.

Your pastor or rabbi or family can counsel you on it but for the police to lock you up for it, only makes the situation worse by driving it underground.

It's distasteful to most people but it makes it far worse for the participants and society as a whole.
