A 66-year-old janitor is "a narcissistic liar with a criminal past" who fatally stabbed a popular priest in northern New Jersey two years ago.
That's the theory presented by Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi during his closing argument Monday in the trial of Jose Feliciano.

Earlier Monday, Feliciano's lawyer told jurors his client was being sexually blackmailed by Rev. Edward Hinds and killed the priest in a fit of rage.

The prosecution says Feliciano had just been fired by Hinds after the priest discovered he had an outstanding arrest warrant in Philadelphia from the 1980s.

Feliciano's lawyer says Hinds knew about the charge since 2004 and used it to extort sexual favors out of the janitor.

The jury is expected to begin deliberations Tuesday.
