Deer Runs Through Holmdel Frozen Yogurt Shop
A deer that crashed through the front window of a Holmdel frozen yogurt shop was caught on tape sliding around the shop knocking over chairs and tables before making its way back outside.
It was late on a Sunday night in October when the reflection caused by dimmed lights inside the Peachwave Yogurt Store in Kohl's Plaza on Route 35 likely attracted the deer's attention according to NBC 4 New York.
The deer appeared to be confused as he wandered and darted around the store causing roughly $5,000 worth of damage. An employee from a store in the plaza came to shoo the deer towards the emergency exit. "Luckily, I didn't think he was too hurt," said Jen Prachar, an employee and the owner's daughter. "Little cut, no limp."
Owner Alan Prachar tells CBS New York he thinks the deer may have come from a nearby wooded development.
Insurance paid for the damage.
