Should NJ Decriminalize Marijuana?

Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-Mercer) introduced bill A1465 which will decriminalize the possession of 15 grams or less of marijuana.  Fines would range from $100 for first offense to $500.

Those under the age of 21 who are caught with marijuana would be required to attend a drug education program. This fine would also apply to adults over the age of 21 that have been caught three times or more. A $100 fine would be levied against those found with any type of drug paraphernalia.

You may remember Assemblyman Gusciora as the politician who Governor Christie famously called “numbnuts.” We doubt the Governor will be calling him similar names for his current efforts.

Take the poll and let us know what you think about the new proposed law.
