Deaths of mom, 5-year-old in Jersey City ruled ‘suspicious’

The death of a mother and her 5-year-old son in Jersey City is considered suspicious by police.
The Jersey Journal they were found in their second-floor apartment on Lincoln Street late in the afternoon and pronounced dead at Christ Hospital. A test of the air quality inside the apartment came up negative for carbon monoxide.
A neighbor told the Jersey Journal the mother wasn't moving and the child appeared limp as emergency workers pulled them from the home. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office did not say if anyone else lives in the apartment or identify the victims.
