The daughter-in-law of a woman found dead in her East Windsor home has been charged with her murder by the Mercer County Prosector's Office.

Tasneem Diwan, who had been sought for questioning in the death of 73-year-old Safia Diwan, was found in the bus terminal area of the Tropicana hotel on Friday night and detained by hotel security and Atlantic City Police until she could be brought back to Mercer County, according to County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri.

Onofri said Tasneem hit her mother-in-law in the head numerous time with an unknown object on Tuesday night inside the Mozart Court home where both lived. East Windsor Police said they found Safia lying in a front office of the home by police after receiving a 911 call.

Onofri has not given a motive for the murder.

Tasneem was charged with with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. She is being held on $1 milllion bail.
