Audrey is a beautiful lass with a gorgeous, very light brown coat. She's well mannered and affectionate. She suffers from a hip injury that will need surgery, but she doesn't let it bother her and she can still waggle her bottom with the best of them! Come meet this lovely lass at the Edison Shelter. Audrey's adoption will be handled through Sammy's Hope.

If you are interested in meeting Audrey or adopting her, contact Sammy’s Hope by email at info@sammyshope.org. You can download a PDF copy of the application form here or you can see more adoptable dogs from Sammy’s Hope here.

Adopt Heidi

Heidi is a beautiful and gentle 4 yr old White German Shepherd that came to us as a stray. HeidiI does have issues to surmount, but in the right home/situation can overcome them and be a perfect companion. Heidi has separation anxiety and will need a special adopter to help her grow out of her fears. Heidi needs an adopter with previous German Shepherd and/or fearful dog experience. Heidi was not well socialized and may have been crated/kenneled most of her life. She is very smart and loving, true to her breed, and is worth that extra mile.

If you feel you have it in you to become Heidi's adopter, please complete an application include a description of your experiences/plan for Heidi's future. Heidi is dog reactive at this time; cats and/or a male dog companion might be OK with training. Family with grown children is preferred. Heidi is an in-house dog only. For additional information please email/call foster, Frederique at frederique.adamjupillat@verizon.net or cell 609 306 6442.

Adopt Jenny

Jenny, wow, it is so hard to find the words to describe Jenny. Let’s start with how pretty she is with her shiny black fur, white bib and boots. She is absolutely perfect to look at and then you see one little, endearing flaw. Her left ear is ever so slightly bent forward at the tip, it’s so stinkin’ cute!

Jenny is a little girl at only 7.5 lbs. and the vet estimates that she is between 2-1/2 - 3 years old. Jenny arrived at the shelter heavily pregnant and gave birth to Miranda, Heather, Carrie & JD on April 23rd. The family was whisked off to a foster home where Jenny raised her kids in comfort. Not only did Jenny raise her own kids, but Jax, a little orphan who came to the shelter was also adopted by her so that he could have a family. Jenny has been an amazing mom for sure, but she has been a great companion to her foster mom.

She is always sweet and loving with everyone she comes in contact with.  She loves to get in on the games with her kittens whether with a toy or just wrestling around with them. This girl is truly a gem who will be a great addition to any family. Jenny’s kids will be spayed/neutered on July 16th and Jenny will follow as soon as her life giving milk is all dried up.

Don’t miss out on bringing Momma Jenny into your home and making her a part of your family. If you are interested in meeting Jenny or fostering/adopting her, please contact us or email us at cats@sammyshope.org

Adopt Sue

Sue is a 5 yr old Lab mix. She is currently in a foster home and is ready to come to NJ to her forever home, which must be "very special" according to her foster family. She is a sweet, loving dog who has her puppy years behind her, yet she still has so much to offer a family or companion.

She is super well-behaved, goes out without a leash and follows along, waits by her foster mom's van each night for their ride around the neighborhood (when they get to hang their heads out the window and enjoy).  For more information on how to adopt Sue, kindly send an email to jerseygirlsanimalrescue@gmail.com.
