NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Daisy

Say hello to our pretty Daisy!! She is such a friendly cat, we do not understand how she ended up as a stray. Daisy has a beautiful velvet coat in soft shades of pale gold, grey, cream and white. She is playful and very gentle. Daisy loves attention, enjoys being petted and she will happily purr as soon as she sees you!! She is looking for a special family to snuggle up with forever. Do you have room in your home for Daisy? She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, FIV and FeLV negative.

If you're interested in meeting Daisy or fostering/adopting her, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable cats from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Cassie

Cassie is one of the sweetest dogs we have come across! All she wants is love! Cassie came in as a stray and it's obvious her life was less than happy. She is not good with other dogs but is great with people of all ages. In fact, once she meets you, all she wants to do is cuddle on your lap!!!

If you’re interested in learning more about Cassie or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs and puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Jeter

Introducing Jeter! She came in as a stray, but little did she know that she would be one of the stars in a Halloween parade dressed as a banana split! How fitting for her because she is as sweet as strawberry ice cream! Jeter is a small beagle who is very cute and friendly. She is a senior gal, but that does not stop her. She enjoys going on walks and has the energy of a young, calm dog with the perfect amount of pep. Jeter loves her treats, however, she is a little chubby right now so we have to go easy on the treats until she loses a pound or two. She walks nicely on a leash and takes treats gently from your hand. Since she is a beagle who likes to use her nose to sniff for hidden treasures, she would love to be taught to play the FIND IT game where you hide treats or toys in the house and ask her to find them one by one. She is a happy go lucky dog who is always smiling. She is very smart and very attentive during training and pretty much all the time. She would make a wonderful, loving companion.

If you're interested in meeting Jeter or fostering/adopting him, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable dogs from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
