The search continues for a a kayaker who went missing in the Delaware River off the south Jersey coast on Saturday.

Authorities say a woman called police shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday to report that her husband was missing. She said he had been kayaking on the river and that when she turned to look out to him, the kayak was empty.

The unidentified man was said to be wearing a gray T-shirt with an American flag. He may not have been wearing a life jacket reports the South Jersey Times.

A State Police helicopter has been used in the search according to the South Jersey Times, which reports the U.S. Coast Guard, New Jersey State Police, Westville and West Deptford police, and National Park Fire Department are all involved in the search.

Authorities say a Coast Guard dive team entered the water around 3:15 p.m. but called off the search on Saturday at dusk.
