A crash into a refrigerator on the side of a highway killed a motorcyclist in Clifton.

Clifton Police told NJ Advance Media that the refrigerator was lying in the shoulder of northbound Route 21 near Ackermann Ave when the driver hit it around 4 p.m. last Thursday closing down the road for a time. Police are investigating how the refrigerator wound up along the highway.

The name of the motorcyclist was not disclosed by police.
