From time to time, I like to share a favorite recipe with you, here at nj1015.com!

This time, the recipe comes with a story.

One year, when I was in Jr. High School, my mom gave me a loose leaf binder, with lots of lined, empty pages.

:So, I immediately started copying my favorite recipes from HER cookbook...and I have been adding to my "collection" for some time.

Of course, now, all one needs to do is go to the internet, and a quick search will find you the recipe for just about anything you can think of...

There are still times when "old school" is best!

As my notes show, the recipe came from my grandmother...and my mom made the brownies as a treat when my second sister was born.

Blonde brownies are a family favorite...and now, they can be a family "fave" for you, too!

Rather than type out the recipe...it occurs to me that you can follow my handwritten steps, from my original recipe book:

As my notes indicate, you might want to triple the recipe.

And, I will add: Bake in a 9x13 pan...and watch your baking time. Unless your oven bakes HOT, the brownies will be in the oven longer than 25 minutes.

Now, you can see where my love of good food, and cooking, began...

Enjoy...with my (teenage) compliments...
