Corrections Officer Receives 7 Years for Assault
A former New Jersey corrections officer has been sentenced to prison for assaulting his girlfriend.
Steven Adrianzen was sentenced Friday to seven years in state prison for the 2011 assault, which left his girlfriend with facial fractures.
In the months after the assault, Adrianzen, of Franklin, violated his bail conditions by contacting the victim and pressuring her to tell authorities that her injuries were suffered in a motor vehicle accident.
The 41-year-old Adrianzen formerly worked as a state corrections officer at Mountain View Correctional Facility in Annandale. He pleaded guilty in March to aggravated assault and witness tampering.
