SOUTH BRUNSWICK — Police are looking for three men who abandoned a stolen car at a condo complex on Monday night.

An alert was issued 6:30 p.m. by township police about a search for the men around the Royal Oaks Apartments on Henderson Road. Detective Dennis Yuhasz said "three or four men" remain at large after leaving the gold Toyota Corolla in the parking lot. They are not, however, believed to pose a threat to the public.

The men filled up their gas tank at the Exxon station on Route 27 and New Road around 5:30 p.m. and left without paying, according to Yuhasz. Police were able to match the description of the car with a vehicle reported stolen on Halloween in Franklin Township in Somerset County.

After leading police on a low-speed pursuit on Major Road, Route 1 and several side streets, they wound up at Royal Oaks. Police dogs were used in the search for the men in the complex.

Youhasz did not have a description of the men and asked anyone who has surveillance video of the men at the apartment complex to call police at 732-329-4646.
