New York Rep. Peter King's request to the Transportation Security Administration follows a report Friday in the New York Post. The newspaper says an undercover TSA inspector brought a mock improvised explosive device stashed in his pants through two layers of security last month.

King called for a "top-to-bottom" review of TSA operations at Newark.

The TSA wouldn't confirm the report but says it regularly puts screeners through the most difficult training scenarios. The agency says the goal is to ensure officers can detect even the hardest-to-find devices.
