Lakewood police tell The Star-Ledger that 21-year-old Manuel Ramirez of Freehold was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and several weapons counts stemming from the attack, which occurred early Saturday. He was being held on $250,000 cash bail, and it was not known if he had retained a lawyer.

The victim, whose name was not released, suffered several stab wounds to the chest, abdomen, face and back. He was hospitalized in stable condition, and further details on his injuries were not disclosed.

Authorities did not say what sparked the brawl, which ended with both men being thrown out of the venue.

Ramirez and his girlfriend, 22-year-old Miriam Lopez of Brooklyn, New York, soon left in a cab to go home, while the other man left the area on foot.

When Ramirez and his girlfriend saw the other man walking along the street, they asked the cab driver to stop. The couple then got out and approached the victim, authorities said, and Ramirez allegedly started stabbing him.

Other concertgoers in the area saw the attack and alerted Lakewood police officers, who were nearby doing security for the concert. Ramirez and Lopez were arrested moments later.

Lopez was charged with hindering the apprehension of Ramirez. She was being held on $75,000 cash bail, and it was not known if she had retained a lawyer.
