Community Hope helps individuals including veterans overcome mental illness, addiction, homelessness and poverty through housing and support services. These brave men and women fight for our freedom overseas, then return stateside and don't even have a home. "It's a serious problem. We've made some strides over the last few years but it continues to be a problem. Even if there was just one veteran it would be a problem and an issue," Armstrong said. Armstrong went on to say there are still hundreds of veterans that come back from Iraq and Afghanistan that are dealing with real problems like homelessness and unemployment.

Veterans who are in need are urged to call the Community Hope hotline at 1-855-483-8466. Armstrong mentioned that Community Hope is in need of ongoing resources and assistance as they are constantly helping veterans find transitional and permanent housing.
