BRIGANTINE — The U.S. Coast Guard was using a helicopter and several boats in their search for several boaters that went missing off the coast in South Jersey on Friday afternoon.

Brigantine police were notified around 5:45 p.m. of three or four people who fell into the water after their fishing boat capsized. Police called the Coast Guard to join their search.

The Coast Guard deployed a HC-130 Hercules airplane crew from North Carolina and a Coast Guard cutter from Virginia for their search.
