HIGHLANDS — A Coast Guard boat at the right place at the right time was able to pull three boaters from a capsized craft from the water and bring them safely to shore on Saturday.

The Coast Guard said the three people were found around 2:30 p.m. when their nine-foot John boat was found by the crew based at Coast Guard Station Sandy Hook. The crew went right to the scene and pulled the boaters from the water before bringing them into the Highlands.

According to the Coast Guard none of the three people were injured and were brought to shore safely.

"The Coast Guard reminds boaters to keep a close eye on the water conditions and know the limits of your boat before heading out," the Coast Guard said in a statement.
