U.S. Coast Guard officials say a 50-year-old man and his 21-year-old daughter were boating with one other man on a catamaran when it capsized.

The third individual managed to right the catamaran, lost sight of his two companions, then beached the catamaran.

Station Cape May boat crews and an Atlantic City MH-65 Dolphin helicopter were launched to search for the two missing boaters.

Two of the boat crewmen witnessed what appeared to be people in the water near the jetties off Cape May.

Crews recovered the two individuals and transferred them ashore to await EMTs from the Coast Guard Cape May Fire Department.
