MIDDLETOWN —When a 42-foot boat started taking on water Saturday the United States Coast Guard was dispatched to help them off the coast of Sandy Hook.

With four people on the boat, the crew contacted Coast Guard Sector New York who launched a Response Boat-small (RBS) from Coast Guard Station Sandy Hook. The Coast Guard Crew was able to use a portable dewatering pump, and towed the boat to the Atlantic Highlands Marina.

The Coast Guard said there were no injuries reported and there was no pollution as a result of the incident.
