CNN Anchor Flub Goes Viral
A story of a flub by CNN anchor Ashleigh Banfield went viral on Twitter, as social media websites erupted with news of the Empire State Building shooting.
Many users of the website tweeted that Banfield stated the obvious when she reported shooting suspect “Jeffrey Johnson is dead, and will not be prosecuted for murder.”
Blunders like the one Banfield made are common with anchors competing to deliver the latest news to audiences.
This is not the first time CNN has made an error in reporting. This past June, the news channel received a lot of attention for an inaccurate delivery of the Supreme Court's healthcare ruling.
