While it stayed cloudy in the most of the state Thursday, sunshine broke through from northeastern counties.

It was pretty sunny in the afternoon, at some point yesterday, from Monmouth to eastern Ocean County.  High temperatures reached the mid to upper 60s from Newark north and west.  There was some sunshine, but only the upper 50s to low 60s for much of the rest of the state.

Our Friday will feature clouds, which should be break for some sunshine.  There's still the chance late today of North Jersey shower.  Highs in the low 70s, but cooler near the ocean.

There's just the chance it may shower the first part of the night in places, then clearing, with lows in the 50s, but a few 40s possible in NW Jersey.

Sunshine, patchy clouds Saturday afternoon with a late shower possible again, mainly in North Jersey. Saturday highs in the 70s, but much cooler along the coast tomorrow with a brisk and gusty wind.

Mostly sunny Sunday back in the 70s, but still cooler again near the ocean.

Water temperatures are in the mid to upper 50s.
