NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League, Sammy’s Hope and Animal Rescue 'R' Us to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes.

Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Peaches

Peaches is so cute!  At first glance you would call her a black/white tuxedo and you would be right, but that’s not it.  Peaches has a black raccoon mask, and a white stripe down her face leading to an adorable half pink/half black nose.  The topper to all of this is that Peaches is a polydactyl cat which means she has six toes on her front feet and each of those toes is white tipped  How cute is that?  Peaches is all in for equal cuddle time and playtime. She's perfect!

If you are interested in meeting Peaches or fostering/adopting her, please email us at cats@sammyshope.org. You can download a PDF copy of the adoption application form here or you can see more adoptable cats from Sammy’s Hope here.

Lucky is approximately 60 pounds, neutered, up-to-date on shots, heart worm negative and he is crate and house-trained.  Lucky is currently living in a foster home with two adult humans and two dogs. Still very much a puppy at about a year old, Lucky is very sociable and enjoys daily walks, romps in a fenced-in yard, squeaky toys, tummy rubs and treats. Lucky gets along with other animals and would make a nice family pet. When you spend time with Lucky, you can see that he is energetic, playful and curious to see and smell everything.   But what he seems to love the most is getting lots of attention from his people; Lucky will pop up on your lap and lick your face all day.

If you're interested in learning more about Lucky or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs, puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Cleopatra and Moses are siblings between 2-to 3-months-old.  Both were found under a shed together and are currently in a foster home.  Cleopatra has a great personality and would be a wonderful addition to any family.  She is not as outgoing as her brother, but can be pet and picked up if she is in her cage.  She does not hide, but sometimes runs when you try to pick her up.  Cleopatra loves to play with toys and tackle Moses.  She gets along with the other adult cats in her foster home.  Cleopatra has a great personality and would be a wonderful addition to any family.
